MgF2 is one of the most active catalysts for the Cl/F exchange in the transformation of 2‐chloropyridine. The presence of a structuring agent such as PMMA or Pluronic F68 as polymers, leads to a higher specific surface area after HF treatment (around 30%) corresponding to a higher catalytic activity.

AuPdFe catalysts offer highly efficient degradation of phenol through the in situ synthesis of ROS from H2 and O2. Through tuning of the AuPd/Fe ratio, a tenfold increase in phenol degradation compared to the bimetallic parent system may be achieved.
