Enabling High‐Boiling‐Point Green Solvent Recycling Using Organic Solvent Nanofiltration Membranes

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the use of organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) membranes for the efficient recovery and recycling of bio‐based green solvents. The work highlights OSN's potential as a scalable, energy‐efficient technology to support sustainable industrial solvent management.

Ball‐Milling Assisted Iron‐Catalyzed Difluoromethylation Toward the Synthesis of Valuable Oxindoles

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
An iron‐catalyzed difluoroalkylation of acrylamides under ball‐milling conditions affords oxindoles in up to 85% yield. Analytical studies reveal that the apparent piezoelectric activity originates from iron leaching caused by milling assembly abrasion during the reaction process. The iron‐catalyzed process proves to be efficient with a broad substrate

Electrochemical Sulfonylation in Deep Eutectic Solvents Enables the Sustainable Synthesis of 2‐Quinoline Sulfones

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
The use of a deep eutectic solvent (DES) in sulfonylation electrosynthesis enables the high‐yield and scalable production of 2‐arylsulfonylquinolines without the need of volatile organic compounds. Acting as reaction medium and removing the need of a supporting electrolyte, the DES affords excellent yields across a broad scope of compounds, allows ...
