Selective CF Bond Activation in 1,1‐Difluorocyclopropanes: Synthesis of Functionalized Monofluoroalkenes

Treatment of 2‐aryloxy‐1,1‐difluorocyclopropanes with Me2AlCl promotes fluoride abstraction, followed by cyclopropane ring opening, to generate α,β‐unsaturated oxocarbenium ions. These cations are trapped with nucleophiles such as arenes and silyl enol ethers to provide functionalized 2‐fluoro‐1‐alkenes.

MXenes: Emerging Materials for Environmental Biochemical Sensing Platforms

MXenes (e.g., transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides), among those potential candidates for sensing materials, show promising potential with their intrinsically two‐dimensional large interactive area, wide‐range‐tunable material properties, active surface chemistry, and excellent processability for large‐scale fabrication.

Upcycling Polyethylene Waste into Hybrid Graphitic Porous Carbon Materials Used in High‐Performance Zinc‐Ion Hybrid Capacitors

Polyethylene waste was upcycled into hybrid graphitic porous carbon (PW‐HGPC) with the product yield of 22 wt%. The PW‐HGPC has a hybrid structure composed of graphene‐like carbon nanosheets grown on the surface of carbon particles, with surface area of 1,763 m2 g−1.
