Applications of a Novel Wireless System for Real‐Time Atmospheric Corrosion Monitoring

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Developed monitoring system is a powerful tool for real‐time atmospheric corrosion monitoring. Humidity plays a critical role in the corrosion process. Limiting environmental parameters inducing maximum corrosion vary depending on the pollutants present. A monitoring system can be used in a wide range of scientific and practical applications.

Cooperative Gelation of Syndiotactic Polystyrene and Low Molecular Weight PEGDME

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
When co‐gelling with polyethylene glycols of varying lengths from tetrahydrofuran solution, dry gels made of syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) with variable pore sizes and polymer strand densities are produced in comparison to pure sPS gels. The morphology of the wet gels is determined by simultaneous small‐angle neutron scattering and FTIR, while XRD and

Leveraging Itaconic Acid in Microcrystalline Cellulose Reinforced Shape Memory Photopolymers for Sustainable 4D Printing

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Microcrystalline cellulose was surface modified using itaconic anhydride and used as a reinforcing particle in biobased itaconated castor oil and isobornyl (meth)acrylate formulations for vat photopolymerisation additive manufacturing. The polymers displayed tailorable and competitive mechanical properties, low polymerisation shrinkage, detailed ...
