A Regularly Interstratified Chlorite/Vermiculite in a Talc-Chlorite Vein [PDF]

open access: yesMemoirs of the Faculty of Science, Kyūsyū University. Series D, Geology, 1981
A regularly interstratified chlorite/vermiculite was found at the surface of an outcrop of talc-chlorite vein which developed in a serpentinite body at Torika, Saipi-Cho, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. The regularly interstratified chlorite/vermiculite, which is regarded as a weathering product of Al-poor Mg-chlorite with IIb polytype on the basis of its ...

Enhanced Mass Transport and Elevated Active Site Density for Highly Efficient Overall Water Splitting Over Delignification‐Engineered Carbonized Wood

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Controlled delignification pretreatment tailors the hierarchical porous structure of wood to improve ion transport and create abundant anchoring sites for Ni/Ni(OH)2 catalysts. The optimized electrode shows enhanced mass transfer, increased active site density, and superior overall water‐splitting performance, demonstrating delignification as an ...

Total Syntheses of Agelamadin F and (±)‐Tauroacidin A, Enabled by NaClO2‐Mediated Coupling Reactions of Oroidin and Amines

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Total syntheses of agelamadin F and (±)‐tauroacidin A were achieved by sodium chlorite (NaClO2)‐mediated oxidative C─N coupling. Nine C15–N–amino acid‐substituted oroidin derivatives were successfully prepared to demonstrate the applicability and versatility of this oxidative coupling reaction.

Surface hydration‐induced damage in tight oil‐bearing sandy conglomerate reservoirs

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A series of techniques such as X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive spectroscopy, conductivity tests, and infrared thermal imaging were used. The key findings are the identification of a two‐stage surface hydration process and the elucidation of the effects of various minerals and elements on the hydration process ...
