Exploring Wide‐Range Alkyl Bridge Length Variations in Polymer Semiconductors: From Pristine to Blend Films for High‐Mobility Stretchable TFTs

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
A side‐chain engineering strategy enables polymer semiconductors to achieve record‐high mobility and mechanical resilience in intrinsically stretchable transistors. By correlating crystallinity with charge transport and stretchability, this work establishes a predictive design rule.

Impact of Device Architecture on Proton Detection Efficiency in 2D Perovskite Thick Film Detectors

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 15, 12 March 2026.
This work shows the role of device architecture in MeV proton detection with 2D perovskite thick (> 1 µm) films. A direct comparison between planar and stacked devices demonstrates that the stacked geometry achieves superior response by enabling more efficient charge collection and better exploitation of the active layer volume, ensuring stable and ...

Reorientation‐Driven Degradation in Oriented Perovskite Films: Shifting Facet Engineering to Thermodynamic Stability

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 14, 6 March 2026.
The role of crystallographic orientation in the thermal stability of narrow‐bandgap perovskite solar cells remains largely underexplored. In Sn–Pb mixed perovskite films, strong orientation can inherently compromise stability under prolonged thermal stress, triggering reorientation‐induced degradation through microstrain accumulation.

Controlling Green‐Solvent Processability via the Dipole Moment of Nonfullerene Acceptor in Green‐Light Wavelength‐Selective Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 4, 25 February 2026.
For the environmentally friendly fabrication of green‐light wavelength‐selective organic solar cells (GLWS‐OSCs), a new nonfullerene acceptor, BTz‐TT‐FA, bearing a low dipole moment is designed and developed. GLWS‐OSCs based on poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and BTz‐TT‐FA showed enhanced photovoltaic performance under p‐xylene processing compared to ...
