Systematic analysis about residual chloroform removal from PCL films
For fabrication of polymeric implants and drug carriers volatile organic solvents, such as chloroform, are widely used. In order to remove solvents for patient safety several processes have to be carried out to avoid changes in the thermal ...

Strong evidence for negligible methyl chloroform (CH3CCl3) emissions from biomass burning [PDF]
With the phase-out of industrial methyl chloroform (MCF) production, the atmospheric burden of this ozone-depleting gas has rapidly declined. Therefore any non-industrial sources are taking on greater significance in the MCF budget.

This study presents a novel donor‐bridge‐acceptor‐bridge‐donor (D‐B‐A‐B‐D) molecular system, which shows near‐unity intramolecular excitation energy transfer (IET) from two identical energy donors to a coplanar acceptor. It enables a four‐level energy system for efficient lasing at the acceptor emission band in a microspherical cavity with a low lasing

Fully Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Liquefied Wood for Chemically Recyclable Wood Coatings
A bio‐based and chemically recyclable epoxy resin derived from liquefied wood and its use in wood coatings is presented. The resin exhibits mechanical, thermal, and water‐resistant properties comparable to commercial coatings and can be chemically recycled and reused. This approach provides fast access to glossy and fully biobased durable wood coatings

Lead halide perovskite nanowires stabilized by block copolymers for Langmuir-Blodgett assembly [PDF]
The rapid development of solar cells based on lead halide perovskites (LHPs) has prompted very active research activities in other closely-related fields. Colloidal nanostructures of such materials display superior optoelectronic properties.

A new small‐molecule acceptor (SMA‐Ph‐CF3) is developed using a dual side chain functionalization strategy that incorporates trifluoromethyl and phenyl groups. This approach enables precise tuning of blend morphology, leading to the fabrication of high‐performance organic solar cells with a power conversion efficiency of 18.5%.
