An Introduction to Chlorophyll Fluorescence
2003Photosynthesis is a physiological process that couples the energy of light to certain metabolic changes in biochemical reactions, via photochemical processes. Importantly, these metabolic changes would be endothermic in the absence of light, meaning that they would not proceed spontaneously.

Fluorescence-detected chlorophyll triplet states in chlorophyll-proteins
Journal of Molecular Structure, 1982Abstract Chlorophyll (chl) occurs bound Co protein as discrete, well-defined complexes in photosynthetic membranes. Chlorophyll-proteins have been isolated from barley chloroplasts and chl triplet states observed at 4.2 K under continuous illumination using a fluorescence-detected zero field magnetic resonance technique.

Screening of mutants using chlorophyll fluorescence
Journal of Plant Research, 2021Chlorophyll fluorescence has been widely used for the estimation of photosynthesis or its regulatory mechanisms. Chlorophyll fluorescence measurements are the methods with non-destructive nature and do not require contact between plant materials and fluorometers. Furthermore, the measuring process is very rapid.

Chlorophyll a Fluorescence in Cyanobacteria: Relation to Photosynthesis
Cyanobacteria, 2019In this chapter, we focus on the use of chlorophyll (Chl) a fluorescence to study various photosynthetic processes and their regulation in cyanobacteria. Compared to algae and plants, thylakoid membranes of cyanobacteria not only have photosynthetic, but

Chlorophyll Fluorescence on the Fast Timescale
2018Chlorophyll fluorescence is a rapid and non-invasive tool used for probing the activity of photosynthesis that can be used in vivo and in the field. It is highly relevant to the demands of high-throughput crop phenotyping and can be automated or manually applied.

Chlorophyll fluorescence biosensor for the detection of herbicides
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 1994A biosensor is described for the detection of triazine and phenylurea herbicides in drinking water by kinetic measurements of endogenous chlorophyll fluorescence in isolated chloroplasts from higher plants. The pocket-size device uses a diode laser for simultaneous excitation of sample and reference channels, and photodiodes for detection of the ...
