Stimulated fluorescence and fluorescence quenching in chlorophyll a and bacteriochlorophyll a
Chemical Physics Letters, 1978Abstract This communication deals with the photophysical processes that take place in chlorophyll solutions under intense nitrogen laser irradiation. The effect of the pump photon density on the fluorescence yield depends strongly on the geometry of the irradiation and the sampling set-up.

Fluorescence anisotropy of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b in castor oil
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1989A detailed study of the fluorescence anisotropy of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b in castor oil is presented. Scanningacross the wavelength of emission the value of the fluorescence anisotropy shows a considerable variation. This indicates that differently polarized emission moments are present.

Carotenoid-sensitized Fluorescence of Chlorophyll in vitro
Nature, 1958IT is well established that light absorbed by carotenoids can contribute to photosynthesis, phototaxis and the red fluorescence shown by chlorophyll A in the intact chloroplast. In Chlorella, independent measurements of both fluorescence1 and photosynthesis2 indicate a 40–50 per cent efficiency of energy transfer from β-carotene and lutein to ...

Chlorophyll Fluorescence Transients in Chloroplasts and Leaves
1991Photosynthesis is a complex process, the study of which requires the converging use of many experimental methods (see the Introduction in Chapter 10). As a directly detectable molecular property, fluorescence is largely used in physical chemistry. In photosynthesis, however, fluorescence is mainly (but not only) utilized as an indirect method, based on
