Insights into the genomic divergence of maize heterotic groups in China
Seven core heterotic groups were differentiated in maize germplasm from China, and these groups showed regionality and uniqueness at the genomic level. The environmental adaptability of heterotic groups was improved by selection for more stress tolerance‐related genes for adaptation to the complex and changeable climate.

Abstract Until recently, the lack of three‐dimensional visualisation of whole cells at the electron microscopic (EM) level has led to a significant gap in our understanding of the interaction of cellular organelles and their interconnection. This is particularly true with regard to the role of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).

ABSTRACT Increasing droughts adversely affect grasslands, diminishing the availability and quality of forages for ruminants. We have recently shown that mixed ensiling of drought‐impaired grass (DIG) with sugar beet pulp (SBP) improved the conservation and feed value of silage.
