Determination of Residual Chlorothalonil in Textiles

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, 2020
An effective method was established to determine the content of residual chlorothalonil in textiles by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring coupled with ultrasonic extraction technique. Residual chlorothalonil in textiles was ultrasonically extracted using ethyl acetate as the extraction solvent.

Cabomba caroliniana and Schoenoplectus californicus as Antifouling Candidates: Anti‐Attachment and Toxicological Effects in Aurelia coerulea (Cnidaria, Scyphozoa)

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, Volume 41, Issue 6, Page 356-372, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Biofouling on artificial surfaces in aquatic ecosystems leads to significant economic losses. Current antifouling paints, while effective, often harm the aquatic environment. This study explores ecologically safe antifouling alternatives derived from plants, focusing on the aquatic macrophytes Cabomba caroliniana (CC) and Schoenoplectus ...

Unsaturated Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland for Chlorothalonil Remediation with Target Application in Ethiopian Floriculture Industry

open access: yes, 2023
The Ethiopian floriculture industry produces large amounts of wastewater, which requires treatment systems with lower retention times, higher hydraulic flow, and higher hydraulic loading rates (HLRs).

Synergistic Preservation of Fresh‐Cut Kiwifruit Using Plasma‐Activated Water, Ultrasound‐Treated Water, and Modified Atmosphere Packaging: Effects on Quality, Microbial Safety, and Microstructure

open access: yesJournal of Food Process Engineering, Volume 49, Issue 6, June 2026.
Combined plasma‐activated water and ultrasound‐treated water under modified atmosphere packaging improved microbial safety and quality retention of fresh‐cut kiwifruit. Optimized treatments reduced microbial growth and preserved physicochemical and sensory attributes, demonstrating a promising nonthermal strategy for fresh produce preservation ...

Photoreduction of Chlorothalonil Fungicide on Plant Leaf Models

open access: yes, 2016
Photodegradation is seldom considered at the surface of vegetation after crop spraying. Chlorothalonil, a broad-spectrum foliar fungicide with a very widespread use worldwide, was considered.

A Novel Dual‐Target Compound Designed With Potent Herbicidal and Fungicidal Activity Inspired by Conserved Phytoene Synthase Domains

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 5, Page 2903-2913, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of dual‐target inhibitors represents a cost‐effective strategy for integrated pest management. Here, we report the first dual‐target inhibitors designed against the evolutionarily conserved domain of phytoene synthase (PSY), a key enzyme in carotenoid biosynthesis.

Septoria Tritici Blotch in Commercial Wheat Crops in England: The Use of Fungicides for Disease Control

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 3, May–June 2026.
We analyse a long‐term data set to answer the question: what are the trends in fungicide use, fungicide treatment programme efficacy and measures for resistance management in commercial crops in England. ABSTRACT Fungicides are used to control Septoria tritici blotch in winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) in England.

CUCURBIT DISEASE MANAGEMENT WITH REDUCED CHLOROTHALONIL AND IMPROVED UNDERSTANDING OF PSEUDOPERONOSPORA CUBENSIS POPULATION DYNAMICS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Research has linked chlorothalonil exposure to declines in pollinator health due to an increased likelihood of Nosema ceranae infection, altered gut microbial community, and a reduction in colony fitness and survival of honey bees (Apis mellifera ...
