ABSTRACT Following recent calls to deepen understanding of the Global Pesticide Complex, this article delves into the China‐to‐Australia supply chain of a single herbicide—paraquat. First released in the United Kingdom in the 1960s, acutely toxic paraquat is now primarily produced in China.

A ratiometric fluorescent nanosensor, comprising biomass‐derived iron‐doped carbon dots as the probe and silver nanoclusters as the internal reference, was immobilized onto a polyvinyl alcohol nanofiber membrane via electrospinning. A deep learning model, integrated into a smartphone application, accurately quantified chlorpyrifos by analyzing images ...

Chlorfenapyr reduces testicular weight, sperm quality, and reproductive hormones. This study highlights that RA within chitosan nanoparticles (RA‐CHNPs) are superior to Rosmarinic acid in mitigating CFP‐induced testicular damage. RA within chitosan nanoparticles leads to the reduction of NF‐κB and NLRP3 expression in seminiferous tubules and activates ...

In the face of environmental contamination to copper, mainly resulting from frequent copper‐based fungicide applications, it is crucial to understand the side effects of these pesticides on non‐target organisms to improve pest management. Trichogramma cordubensis, used as a biological control agent against grape berry moths in vineyards, shows strongly

Design, Synthesis, Characterization, ADME Profiling, and Protective Role of Bis-Chalcones against Chlorpyrifos-induced Hepatorenal Damage in Male Albino Rats [PDF]
Background: Pesticides, particularly organophosphates (OPs) such as chlorpyrifos, pose major public health risks through environmental contamination, dietary residues, and occupational exposure, with metabolites widely detected in human biomonitoring ...

Impact of Environmental Exposure on Infant Sleep : The Exposome Approach
This review explores how exposure to environmental pollutants during the first 1000 days of life may affect infant sleep. Evidence suggests potential links between chemical exposures and sleep disturbances, underscoring the need for more research on early‐life vulnerability and the impact of pollutants in air, diet, and breast milk.

This article reports the development and optimization of an electrochemical method for the highly sensitive detection of the widely used chlorinated aromatic herbicide 2,4‐dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4‐D) using bare screen‐printed carbon electrodes and evaluates the method in both laboratory‐prepared samples and real‐world water samples. We report an
