Post‐endoscopic sphincterotomy delayed bleeding occurs in patients with just 1‐day interruption of direct oral anticoagulants or hemodialysis

open access: yesDEN Open
Objective Endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST), especially when anticoagulants are used, carries a significant risk of delayed bleeding. However, the relationship between the use of antithrombotic agents, including direct oral anticoagulants, and post‐EST ...

Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography for Cholangiopathy After Pediatric Liver Transplantation: A Retrospective Analysis and Correlation With Clinical Outcome

open access: yesPediatric Transplantation, Volume 29, Issue 8, December 2025.
Incidences of high grade anastomotic and non‐anastomotic bile duct strictures on magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography after pediatric liver transplantation were considerable. The severity of these bile duct strictures did not correlate with the severity of clinical outcomes.

Suitability of Robotic‐Assisted Surgery for Hepatic Peribiliary Cysts: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
Robotic‐assisted subsegmentectomy of liver segment III was successfully performed for a growing hepatic peribiliary cyst that could not be distinguished from a malignant tumor. This approach demonstrates the feasibility and safety of minimally invasive robotic surgery for hepatic peribiliary cysts.

Successful Bronchial Occlusion With an Endobronchial Watanabe Spigot Using a Single‐Use Bronchoscope for Bronchobiliary Fistula: A Case Report

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
A rare case of bronchobiliary fistula after liver resection was successfully diagnosed and treated with bronchial occlusion at bedside using a single‐use bronchoscope. The use of single‐use bronchoscopes may be viable in critically ill patients, especially when the use of a reusable bronchoscope is not feasible. ABSTRACT Bronchobiliary fistula (BBF) is

Systematic Review: Ultrasound Goes Echo—Decarbonising Inflammatory Bowel Disease Care Through Intestinal Ultrasound

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 62, Issue 10, Page 966-982, November 2025.
This systematic review shows that while endoscopy, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging generate substantial carbon emissions in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care, intestinal ultrasound (IUS) offers a clinically validated, low‐carbon alternative.

Association of HLA‐B*53 With DRESS Syndrome in Patients Treated With Raltegravir: Two Case Reports and a Literature Review

open access: yesBasic &Clinical Pharmacology &Toxicology, Volume 137, Issue 5, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Raltegravir, an HIV integrase inhibitor, although generally well tolerated, may cause severe reactions such as drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS). This syndrome has been associated with impaired drug metabolism, viral reactivation and genetic factors including HLA‐B*53:01.

Relationship of intra‐pancreatic fat deposition with low‐density lipoprotein subfractions and hepatic lipase

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 27, Issue 11, Page 6674-6681, November 2025.
Abstract Aim To investigate the associations of intra‐pancreatic fat deposition (IPFD) with low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) subfractions and hepatic lipase. Materials and Methods IPFD was quantified using a single 3.0 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging scanner.
