Abstract In this study, we present a new set of Henry’s constant data for the system carbon dioxide-aqueous deep eutectic solvent (DES) (20 to 80 wt% DES) at T = (303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K. The DESs used were choline chloride-based: ethaline (choline chloride/ethylene glycol), glyceline (choline chloride/glycerol), and maline (choline chloride ...

Choline chloride in the treatment of cerebellar and spinocerebellar ataxia
The use of orally administered choline chloride in the treatment of cerebellar and spinocerebellar ataxia was investigated by a short-term double-blind crossover trial in 20 patients with ataxia. These patients, who include 7 with Friedreich's ataxia, 7 with mixed spinocerebellar ataxia and 6 will primary cerebellar degeneration received placebo and 6g/

Choline chloride in schizophrenia
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1979The authors investigated the possibility that choline chloride might reduce schizophrenic symptoms by increasing central cholinergic activity. In a single blind crossover study, up to 20 g/day of choline chloride had no significant effect on clinical ratings of nine schizophrenic patients.

Studies on the Absorption of Choline Chloride * , †
Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1953Abstract Two possibilities exist for the metabolism of choline. The present study was undertaken to clarify the manner in which orally ingested choline disappears from the intestine of the rat. It was found that choline disappears from the intestine of the rat at a very constant rate, in a manner suggesting enzymatic absorption. Incubation of choline

Plasma concentrations of choline in man following choline chloride
Life Sciences, 1978Abstract Plasma choline levels were measured in patients being treated with choline chloride for movement disorders. Following single doses of 5 g given orally in aqueous solution, plasma concentrations rose to a peak within four hours and then rapidly declined. The degree of increase was variable both between and within patients.

An Assay for Choline Chloride in Pharmaceutical Products*
Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1946A simple and accurate gravimetric procedure for the assay of choline chloride, as such, in various pharmaceutical products, has been developed. The method involves the precipitation of choline phosphotungstate from an anhydrous alcohol solution.

Choline chloride effects on memory in the elderly☆
Neurobiology of Aging, 1980Choline chloride (2 g QID) and placebo were administered to 10 subjects over age 60 in a placebo-drug placebo design. Subjects first took placebo for 7 days, followed by choline for 21 days and finally took placebo for another 21 days. Memory tests were given at the end of both placebo periods and twice during choline administration.
