Choroidal Neovascularization Associated with Choroidal Nevi

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1978
We observed choroidal neovascularization with associated macular detachment in three cases of benign choroidal nevi. Successful obliteration of the neovascular membranes was performed with argon laser photocoagulation with maintenance of good central visual acuity.

CHOROIDAL DETACHMENT AND EXPULSIVE CHOROIDAL HEMORRHAGE

Ophthalmology Clinics of North America, 2001
ECH occurring during open globe surgery is no longer synonymous with loss of the eye. If the eye is closed immediately (i.e., the hemorrhage does not become expulsive) and modern secondary reconstruction techniques are applied, the prognosis is good. Prophylaxis, however, is the ultimate goal, achieved by a conscious consideration of all risk factors ...

Choroidal Neovascularization Associated With Choroidal Hemangiomas

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1992
Two patients with choroidal hemangiomas developed choroidal neovascularization. One patient with Sturge-Weber syndrome, a unilateral diffuse choroidal hemangioma, and a serous detachment of the macula was treated with yellow dye laser photocoagulation in a grid pattern to the tumor before glaucoma filtration surgery.

Naevus of the Choroid

Ophthalmologica, 2010
Despite their common occurrence and benign character, choroidal naevi show a number of interesting features. Hyper- and hypopigmentation, drusen, pigment-epithelial detachment, retinal deposits and capillary circulatory disturbances are described. Colour and red-light photography appear to be the most appropriate techniques for documentation.
