Dual Ligand‐Enabled Nondirected C─H Olefination of (Hetero)Arenes for the Synthesis of Clickable Derivatives

We report an efficient method for late‐stage installation of “clickable” alkyne groups into diverse (hetero)arenes. Using a dual‐ligand palladium catalyst that combines an NASA ligand with an N‐heterocycle, an acrylate unit bearing a terminal alkyne can be introduced via nondirected C─H activation.

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam

This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.

Joint modelling of annual precipitation maxima over several durations for the construction of intensity–duration–frequency curves

Abstract Intensity–duration–frequency curves are used by a wide range of professionals to manage the risks related to extreme rainfall. In Canada, these curves are produced by Environment and Climate Change Canada on the basis of Gumbel distributions fitted independently for each accumulation period.
