Stationary optical solitons with Sasa–Satsuma equation having nonlinear chromatic dispersion

, 2020
This paper retrieves stationary optical solitons to Sasa–Satsuma equation that carries nonlinear chromatic dispersion. The solutions are in terms of Gauss' hypergeometric functions and consequently the convergence criteria are also listed.

Chromatic dispersion in arrow waveguides

Optics Communications, 1990
Abstract Compound chromatic dispersion has been calculated for ARROW waveguides. It shows anomalous behaviour when compared with regular asymmetric waveguides.

Stationary optical solitons with nonlinear chromatic dispersion having quadratic–cubic law of refractive index

, 2020
Stationary optical solitons with quadratic–cubic law of nonlinear refractive index and nonlinear chromatic dispersion are retrieved. The model is considered with linear temporal evolution as well as with generalized temporal evolution. The results are in

Chirp-Filtering for Low-Complexity Chromatic Dispersion Compensation

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2020
Current chromatic dispersion compensation algorithms use frequency-domain equalization for efficient filtering. Nonetheless it is one of the most power-hungry blocks of the digital signal processing chain for high baud rate and/or long haul transmission ...

On the Chromatic Dispersion of Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Intraocular Lenses

Optometry and Vision Science, 2020
SIGNIFICANCE There is a high variation of chromatic dispersion with contemporary intraocular lens (IOL) materials. It is well known that chromatic aberration limits the optical performance especially with high-power lenses.

Tunable chromatic dispersion compensator

2004 23rd IEEE Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2004
One of the major bottlenecks in optical telecommunication systems is chromatic dispersion. Each frequency component of an optical pulse travels at a different group velocity, hence the pulse width broadens, thereby leading to system penalties. A demand for tunable compensators has arisen from DWDM systems with dynamic routing where the degree of pulse ...

Optical communication transmission systems improvement based on chromatic and polarization Mode dispersion compensation simulation management

, 2020
Dispersion compensation technique is the most important issue in the optical communication system to overcome dispersion challenges. The current study focuses on a proposed compensation simulation model to handle not only chromatic dispersion (CD) but ...

Chromatic dispersion of soft contact lens materials

Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, 2023
To investigate and evaluate the chromatic dispersion of various hydrogel and silicon hydrogel contact lens materials.Eighteen different soft contact lens materials with high and low water content in lens power of -1.00 DS were measured by one operator at temperature of 20 °C ± 0.5° soaked in ISO standard phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) and in their ...

Chromatic dispersion manipulation based on metasurface devices in the mid-infrared region

, 2020
The chromatic aberration of metasurfaces limits their application. How to cancel or utilize the large chromatic dispersion of metasurfaces becomes an important issue.

Laterally chromatically dispersed, spectrally encoded interferometer

Applied Optics, 2011
We present a single-shot line sensor based on spectral interferometry. Light of a broadband laser source is chromatically dispersed by a grating and focused onto a line on the surface such that each focal point on this line is formed by another wavelength.
