Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and

Wavelength‐Dependent Differential Amplification of Raman Scattering by Chiral Gold Nanorods for Multiplexed Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Detection of phospholipids on paper chromatograms by neutron activation

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1965
Improvements in the detection of phospholipids on paper chromatograms by neutron activation (with the formation of P32-compounds) have been made. Formaldehyde-treated papers were subjected to low neutron dosage after chromatographic development and the ...

Ascending (paper) chromatography of sugars by the multiple development technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 1953
In the present communication results obtained by extending the technique of Jeans et al. to the resolution of a mixture containing five sngars (lactose, maltose, dextrose, galactose and arabinose each sugar at 1 per cent level) are ...

Highly Sensitive Electrochemical Biosensor Based on Hairy Particles with Controllable High Enzyme Loading and Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,

การเปรียบเทียบการกู้คืนของเซลล์ด้วยการใช้ Chromatography paper และ Shandon filter card ในการเตรียมตัวอย่างทางเซลล์วิทยาด้วยวิธี Cytocentrifugation

open access: yesJournal of Associated Medical Sciences, 2008

Nitrogen isotope analysis of ammonium and glycine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Stable isotope techniques can be used as a tool in nitrogen cycling studies of different ecosystems. The studies are based on measurement of the heavy (15N)- to- light (14N) isotopic ratios of nitrogen in different biospheric pools.

Obtaining and Characteristic of the Autolysate of Lactic Acid Bacteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Fragments of bacterial peptidoglycan relating to compounds of the muropeptide series have high biological activity. They have an immunological effect, due to the fact that they are signals for immune receptors and, accordingly, their activators. In order

CO2 Reduction on Copper‐Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Catalysts Tuned by Pulsed Potential Electrolysis: Effect of Pulse Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

The phenolic complex in flaxseed [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Flaxseed is the richest plant source of the lignan secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG). In flaxseed, SDG exists in an oligomeric structure with 3-hydroxy-3-methyl glutaric acid (HMGA) forming a phenolic complex together with p-coumaric acid and ...
