Combined Role of Fe Nanoparticles (Fe NPs) and Staphylococcus aureus L. in the Alleviation of Chromium Stress in Rice Plants

open access: yesLife, 2022
Chromium (Cr) is a toxic heavy metal whose high concentration in soil badly affects plant growth, photosynthesis, and overall yield. Metal-derived nano-particles and metal-resistant bacteria can strengthen the plant defense system against different ...

Oxidative stress and toxicity produced by arsenic and chromium in broiler chicks and application of vitamin E and bentonite as ameliorating agents

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2023
The present study investigated the adverse effects of arsenic and chromium in broilers and ascertained the role of vitamin E and bentonite in alleviating their harmful effects. For this purpose, we experimented on 180 one-day-old broiler chickens.

Chromium Oxide – Chromium Cermets [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1964
THE preparation and properties of chromic oxide–chromium cermets have been examined as part of a general investigation into the possibility of preparing metal–ceramic mixtures (‘cermets’) by partial reduction of refractory oxides. The method consists of pressing a mixture of chromic oxide and carbon, both in the finely divided state, into compacts and ...

The Interpretation of Experimental Observation Data for the Development of Mechanisms based Creep Damage Constitutive Equations for High Chromium Steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
It is very important to design a safe factor or estimating the remain lifetime for electric power plant components of steam pipes which mostly manufacture by high chromium steels and work at high temperature and low stress level.

Chromium(III) — chromium(VI) interconversions in seawater [PDF]

open access: yesMarine Chemistry, 1982
The stable form of dissolved chromium in oxygenated seawater is Cr(VI). But Cr(III)-species are also present at an analytically significant level. It is shown that Cr(III) is oxidized only slowly by dissolved oxygen, and that manganese oxide is a strong catalyst for such oxidation.
