Array painting using microdissected chromosomes to map chromosomal breakpoints
Cytogenetic and Genome Research, 2007Molecular characterization of breakpoints of chromosomal rearrangements is a successful strategy for the identification of candidate disease genes. Mapping translocation breakpoints and rearranged chromosomal boundaries is labor intensive and/or time consuming.

Advances in Y chromosome mapping
Current Opinion in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 1999The human Y chromosome has long been recognized as being responsible for sex determination. In fact, it also encodes more than 30 genes and gene families that participate in a variety of cellular functions, including bone development, tooth growth, and spermatogenesis.

Genetic mapping: Chromosomes 2?5
Human Genetics, 1981Genetic maps of chromosomes 2 and 4 constructed from pair-wise lod score data from family studies and regional assignments for markers are presented. Two loci are mapped on chromosome 2 and multiple crossing-over is suggested as an explanation for the poor fit to the data in females.

Integrating maps of chromosome 21
Current Opinion in Genetics & Development, 1992The past year has seen major progress in the construction of various types of maps of human chromosome 21. Perhaps more significantly, the chromosome 21 research community is making very significant progress on integration of these maps through the use of common resources and increased collaboration and communication.

Mapping the human Y chromosome
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. B, Biological Sciences, 1988This paper reviews past and present trends in mapping the human Y chromosome. So far, mapping has essentially used a combination of cytogenetic and molecular analyses of Y-chromosomal anomalies and sex reversal syndromes. This deletion mapping culminated recently in the isolation of the putative sex-determining locus TDF
