Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Combining QTL-seq and linkage mapping to fine map a wild soybean allele characteristic of greater plant height

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2018
Background Plant height (PH) is an important agronomic trait and is closely related to yield in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. Previous studies have identified many QTLs for PH.

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Chromosome Mapping in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Microbiology, 1978
RP4-mediated conjugation was used to map the loci of 23 different mutations on a circular linkage group in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus EBF65/65. The resulting genetic map indicated that the chromosomal organization of A. calcoaceticus differed from that of members of the enteric group of bacteria and was similar to Pseudomonas in showing an absence of ...

An isochore map of human chromosomes [PDF]

open access: yesGenome Research, 2006
Isochores are large DNA segments (≫300 kb on average) that are characterized by an internal variation in GC well below the full variation seen in the mammalian genome. Precisely defining in terms of size and composition as well as mapping the isochores on human chromosomes have, however, remained largely unsolved problems.

Data‐driven discovery of gene expression markers distinguishing pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia subtypes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Development of SSR markers from Citrus clementina (Rutaceae) BAC end sequences and interspecific transferability In Citrus (P148) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Microsatellite primers were developed from bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) end sequences (BES) of Citrus clementina and their transferability and polymorphism tested in the genus Citrus for future anchorage of physical and genetic maps and ...

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

GENETICS AND GENOMICS OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry, 2012
Plant genetic resources play a major role for global food security. The most significant and widespread mean of conserving plant genetic resources is ex situ conservation.

Genetic algorithms for auto-tuning mobile robot motion control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper discusses a genetic algorithm (GA) based method for automatically tuning mobile robot motion controllers. The genetic algorithm evolves a controller that is optimised for a given performance measure. Genetic algorithms require a mapping from
