Chronic enteropathies in the dog
Journal of Small Animal Practice, 1989ABSTRACTChronic enteropathies are a common and diverse group of diseases in the dog, but diagnosis can be difficult and morphological criteria are an inadequate means of classification. Chronic Bacterial Enteropathy In Patients With Aids
Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1995Enteric infection with adherent bacteria has been seen in a person with chronic diarrhea who was infected with the human immunodeficiency virus. Chronic Enteropathy: Molecular Basis
2007Major advances in the understanding of the pathophysiology of chronic and intractable diarrhea of infancy allow a new conceptual view of this heterogeneous group of disorders. Two major types of chronic 'intractable' enteropathies can be distinguished. (1) Congenital-constitutive forms are characterized by intrinsic enterocyte defects.

Adhesion formation in experimental chronic radiation enteropathy
International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, 1989We have studied the late changes associated with radiation enteropathy in mice over a period of 224 days following single or split doses of gamma radiation delivered to the total abdomen (TAI). We focused on the importance of adhesion formation as a cause of strictures and gut-associated deaths following TAI.

Prevention of chronic radiation enteropathy by dietary glutamine
Annals of Surgical Oncology, 1994Nearly 50% of all cancer patients receive therapeutic radiation during the course of their disease. The risk of late complications is the main dose-limiting factor in the delivery of radiation therapy. The small intestine, the major site of chronic radiation enteropathy, is also the principal organ of glutamine consumption.
