Exploring Bioactive Metabolites From Fusarium falciforme and Aspergillus terreus Isolated From Protease‐Rich Fruits: Antifungal, Antitrypanosomal, and Enzymatic Inhibitory Activities

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.
Metabolites from fungi isolated from protease rich‐fruits displayed antifungal, antitrypanosomal and enzymatic inhibitory activities. ABSTRACT Fungal secondary metabolites display remarkable chemical diversity and biological potential, with applications in agriculture and pharmaceuticals. This study isolated and characterized bioactive metabolites from

Highly Sensitive and Disposable DNA‐Based Electrochemical Biosensor for Detection of Daunorubicin

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
Herin, a flower‐like porous MnO2‐modified pencil graphite electrode (MnO2‐PGE) is developed for the electrochemical determination of the anticancer drug daunorubicin and its interaction with dsDNA. The developed electrochemical nanobiosensor has some advantages, such as easy‐to‐handle, cost‐effective, portable, less time‐consuming assay and disposable.

Anisotropic Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Density Functional Theory Methodologies Combine with CASE‐3D Analysis for Unambiguous Diastereomeric Differentiation of AMG 176 Macrocycles

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
CASE‐3D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis is shown to be robust for unambiguous diastereomeric differentiation of the flexible AMG 176 molecules, utilizing both isotropic and anisotropic NMR parameters. The large conformational space of the macrocyclic AMG 176 diastereomers is pruned down through a stepwise DFT conformer filtering and ...

Combined Immediate‐Release and Extended‐Release Formulation of Sodium Valproate Provides Stable Plasma Levels for Inhibition of Histone Deacetylation

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, EarlyView.
Abstract A modified controlled‐release sodium valproate formulation (VAL001, test) was compared with an approved enteric‐coated tablet formulation (Absenor, reference). Pharmacokinetics and safety/tolerability were evaluated in healthy subjects to bridge with positive efficacy results from an early‐phase patient trial of valproate in combination with ...
