Multi‐omics biomarkers for intestinal infection and inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease: Current evidence, translational challenges, and diagnostic opportunities

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Prospective multi‐site cohorts, multi‐omics profiling, and computational analysis may help identify biomarker patterns across clinical settings in IBD and superimposed infections. With further mechanistic and clinical validation, these signals could support the development of practical multi‐analyte tools for more precise diagnosis and management ...

Ordered assembly of Cas12a for better performance of CRISPR/Cas system with application to the diagnosis of dental caries

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Here, we present a tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF)‐mediated Cas12a ordered assembly strategy. TDFs arrange CRISPR/Cas12a into ordered structures controllably, enhancing catalytic efficiency through localized Cas12a hotspots while maintaining spatial intervals to facilitate substrate diffusion.

Study of the patterns of periodontal destruction in smokers with chronic periodontitis

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research, 2008
Cigarette smoking is a well-established risk factor for periodontitis and carries an increased risk for loss of periodontal attachment as well as for bone loss. The purpose of the study was to investigate the pattern of the intraoral distribution of periodontal destruction among cigarette smokers with periodontitis by assessing the periodontal probing ...

HYPOXIA OF PERIODONTAL TISSUES IN CHRONIC PERIODONTITIS

open access: yes
Chronic periodontitis (CP) is the most common periodontal pathology, which leads to dysfunction of the dental system. 52 patients with CP were examined. Each person assessed the condition of their periodontal tissues using the following indices: PMA, API, SBI. To study hypoxia, the functional activity of erythrocytes was examined using spectroscopy. It
