The proliferation of prostatic epithelium in chronic prostatitis
Urological Research, 1975The labelling index in chronic nonspecific prostatitis ranges from 0.7-2.1%. This value is markedly higher than in nodular hyperplasia (0.4%) as well as in differentiated adenocarcinomas (0.6%). Increased labelling index could only be determined in glands adjacent to inflammatory foci.

Phytotherapy in chronic prostatitis
Urology, 2002Chronic prostatitis is a very common condition that is poorly understood and has a significant impact on quality of life. CHRONIC PROSTATITIS IN BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA
British Journal of Urology, 1971SUMMARY Gross and histological studies of surgically resected prostate glands and glands recovered at autopsy have shown a close correlation between the type of hyperplasia in the gland and the degree of chronic prostatitis. Three types of hyperplasia are recognised.

CHRONIC PROSTATITIS AND PROSTATIC CALCULUS
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1935In the last decade the technic of intra-urethral operations for obstruction of the vesical neck has been greatly improved, as evidenced by the contributions of many authors. Numerous instruments have been devised, which not only have simplified this form of surgery but have led to greater knowledge of the pathologic anatomy of the posterior urethra and

The role of the prostatic stroma in chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome
Inflammation Research, 2009To confirm the hypothesis of prostatic stromal involvement in chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS).A literature review to analyze mechanisms commonly indicated as a cause of CP/CPPS that can interfere with the processes of cell growth of smooth muscle fibrocells and may cause smooth muscle cell hypertrophy, periurethral edema, and
