Analisis mekanisme TC21, PI3K, Cyclin D dan MiRNA-504 dalam menghambat proliferasi SCC-9 cell line setelah diinduksi kombinasi ekstrak batang Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium dan Doxorubicin (sertifikat hak cipta) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023

Pyrethrum (Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium) Flowers’ Drying Conditions for Optimum Extractable Pyrethrins Content

open access: yesJournal of Plant Studies, 2020
Pyrethrum flowers of the genus Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium are grown in Kenya by small scale farmers for extraction of pyrethrins, a natural insecticide’s active ingredient. Pyrethrins are classified in two groups, Pyrethrins I and II, and are degradable when exposed to air, moisture and high temperatures.

Supercritical Extraction of a Natural Pyrethrin-Rich Extract from Chrysanthemum Cinerariifolium Flowers to Be Impregnated into Polypropylene Films Intended for Agriculture Applications

open access: yesAppliedChem, 2022
The extensive use of synthetic pesticides and their addition to the field presents significant environmental problems that must be minimized. The use of natural insecticides and their addition using techniques that minimize their impact in the field are widely studied by the current scientific community.

Defense of pyrethrum flowers: repelling herbivores and recruiting carnivores by producing aphid alarm pheromone

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 223, Issue 3, Page 1607-1620, August 2019., 2019
Summary (E)‐β‐Farnesene (EβF) is the predominant constituent of the alarm pheromone of most aphid pest species. Moreover, natural enemies of aphids use EβF to locate their aphid prey. Some plant species emit EβF, potentially as a defense against aphids, but field demonstrations are lacking.

Essential Oils as Repellents against Arthropods

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
The development of effective and safe repellents against arthropods is very important, because there are no effective vaccines against arthropod‐borne viruses (arboviruses) and parasites. Arboviruses and parasites are transmitted to humans from arthropods, and mosquitoes are the most common arthropods associated with dengue, malaria, and yellow fever ...

Unlocking Kenya’s Pyrethrum Potential: A Breeding Review for a Competitive Future

open access: yesAdvances in Agriculture, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Pyrethrum (Tanacetum cinerariifolium) is a strategically important industrial crop underpinning the world supply of organic pesticides. Despite Kenya’s past dominance in global pyrethrum production, the genetic improvement of the crop has lagged. This has led to having varieties of low yields, variable pyrethrin content, susceptibility to biotic and ...
