Selectivity of Entomopathogenic Fungi to Chrysoperla externa (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) [PDF]

open access: yesInsects, 2020
We aimed to evaluate the selectivity of entomopathogenic fungi to larvae of Chrysoperla externa (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae). For this purpose, Beauveria bassiana (strain ESALQ PL63), Metarhizium anisopliae (strain ESALQ E9) and Metarhizium rileyi (strain UFMS 03) were assessed at different concentrations (1 × 107, 1 × 108 and 1 × 109 conidia mL−1).

Te Chrysoperla carnea s. l. complex of cryptic species of common green lacewings (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) in Belarus: problems of species identifcation and new records [PDF]

open access: yesКавказский энтомологический бюллетень
In Belarus, the genus Chrysoperla Steinmann, 1964 has until recently been represented by one species, Ch. саrnеа (Stephens, 1836). However, at present this taxon is considered as a complex of cryptic species, of which Ch. lucasina (Lacroix, 1912) and Ch.

Metschnikowia chrysoperlae sp. nov., Candida picachoensis sp. nov. and Candida pimensis sp. nov., isolated from the green lacewings Chrysoperla comanche and Chrysoperla carnea (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2004
Fourteen yeast isolates comprising three taxa were cultured from digestive tracts of adult Chrysoperla species (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) and their eggs. The yeast taxa were distinguished based on an estimated molecular phylogeny, DNA sequences and traditional taxonomic criteria.

Laboratory Hybridization Between the Green Lacewings Chrysoperla comanche (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) and Chrysoperla rufilabris, Predators of the Asian Citrus Psyllid [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economic Entomology, 2019
Abstract Chrysoperla comanche (Banks) and its sibling species Chrysoperla rufilabris (Burmeister) are voracious predators of the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae), an invasive pest that vectors a bacterium responsible for the lethal and incurable citrus greening disease. The Comanche lacewing naturally
