Bacterial endophytes from Chukrasia tabularis can antagonize Hypsipyla robusta larvae
Phytoparasitica, 2022Damage by the shoot-tip borer Hypsipyla robusta (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) has limited the commercial cultivation of Chukrasia tabularis (Meliaceae) in many parts of the world. Recently, a number of C. tabularis families in Vietnam have shown field resistance to H. robusta. This study explores whether endophytic bacteria in C.

Phragmalin-type limonoids with NF-κB inhibition from Chukrasia tabularis var. velutina
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2014Chemical investigation on Chukrasia tabularis var. velutina led to the identification of eight new phragmalin-type limonoids (1-8), as well as 20 known analogues. Compounds 1-4 are a rare class of C-15-acyl phragmalin-type limonoids, and particularly compounds 2-4 also possess a δ-lactone ring formed between C-16 and C-30.

Phytophthora Leaf Blight, A New Diseases of Chukrasia tabularis from India.
Indian Journal of Forestry, 2000Leaf blight of Chukrasia tabularis A. Juss., a new disease caused by Phytophthora nicotianne van Breda de Haan is recorded for the first time India and described. The disease occurred widely in forest nurseries. The incidence of the disease varied from 30-80 per cent and defoliation from 2-100 per cent.

Antioxidant activity of the phenol rich fractions of leaves of Chukrasia tabularis A. Juss.
Bioresource Technology, 2008The present study was designed to explore the antioxidant potential of chloroform, ethyl acetate, n-butanol and water fractions of 80% methanol extract of leaves Chukrasia tabularis by 2,2'-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), deoxyribose degradation (non-site specific and site specific), reducing power and DNA nicking assays.

Two new limonoids from the stem barks ofChukrasia tabularisvar.velutina
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2011Two new phragmalin-type limonoid orthoesters, C-15 enolic acyl type and 13/14/18-cyclopropanyl type, named chukvelutilide H (1) and tabularin R (2), together with three known limonoid orthoesters (3-5), were isolated from the stem barks of Chukrasia tabularis var. velutina. The structures of these two new compounds were elucidated on their extensive HR-

Further C-15-acyl phragmalin derivatives from Chukrasia tabularis A. Juss.
Phytochemistry, 2015Relying on characteristic double UV absorptions (210 and 270 nm), sixteen phragmalins with three types of enolic acyl substituents at C-15 were isolated directly from EtOH extracts of the seeds of Chukrasia tabularis A. Juss. Eight of these compounds possessed a C-15-acetyl phragmalin skeleton, and the basic carbon skeleton and absolute configuration ...

Local and regional climatic signals recorded in tree-rings of Chukrasia tabularis in Bangladesh
Dendrochronologia, 2017Abstract We developed the first tree-ring chronology of Chukrasia tabularis from a moist tropical forest in Bangladesh, spanning the 102-year period 1911–2012. The species showed wood anatomically clear annual tree-ring boundaries which crossdated between tree individuals.
