Safety Assessment and Hypoglycemic Effect of Moringa oleifera Lam. Seed Lectin (WSMoL) in Alloxan‐Induced Diabetic Mice

ABSTRACT Moringa oleifera Lam. seeds contain WSMoL, a lectin previously studied for toxicity and pharmacological effects. In this study, we investigated WSMoL (10, 25, or 50 mg/kg i.p.) for acute and 14‐day repeated‐dose toxicity, as well as genotoxicity, in Swiss mice.

Dry–Hot Compound Events Driving the 2024 Pantanal Wildfires

Extreme wildfires in the Pantanal in 2024 were driven by a cascade of heatwaves, rainfall deficits and the absence of the annual flood pulse. These conditions dried soils and rivers, enhanced fuel accumulation and enabled early and intense fire outbreaks.

Reusable SERS Substrate Based on AuNP/PS‐b‐P2VP Nanocomposites With Photocatalytic Activity

We developed a bifunctional SERS substrate by assembling AuNPs on PS‐b‐P2VP thin films, capable of both sensitive molecular detection and UV‐assisted self‐cleaning. The platform demonstrates excellent reusability over four adsorption–degradation cycles, driven by a hot‐hole‐mediated photocatalytic mechanism without semiconductors.
