Is GnRH necessary at CIDR insertion using a 7-Day CIDR synchronization protocol for beef heifers?

open access: yesKansas Agricultural Experiment Station Research Reports, 2011
Introduction The EAZI-BREED CIDR is commonly used in estrous synchronization protocols for both beef heifers and cows. The label calls for insertion of a progesterone-impregnated controlled internal drug release (CIDR) for 7 consecutive days with an injection of prostaglandin F2α given a day before CIDR removal.

Estrous Synchronization in Peranakan Etawah Goat Using CIDR-G

open access: yesAnimal Production: Indonesian Journal of Animal Production, 2003
A study on the effectiveness on estrous synchronization using CIDR-G in peranakan etawah (PE) goat was conducted. Twenty-eight multiporous PE goats were randomly allocated to two groups (A & B) and CIDR was inserted for 16 days.

Reproductive responses and progesterone levels of postpartum oestrus synchronization in goats with different body reserves

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2011
Thirty adult goats were classified at parturition into two body condition score (BCS) groups: BCI (n=16) with a score of 2.7 and BCII (n=14) with a score of 2.0. On the fiftieth day postpartum, oestrus was synchronized by CIDR for 5 days.

Effects of long-term controlled internal drug release reuse on reproductive performance, hormone profiles, and economic profit of sheep

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Zootecnia, 2019
Fifty-seven multiparous Awassi ewes in the breeding season were used to compare the effects of controlled internal drug release (CIDR) reuse on hormone profiles, reproductive performance, and economic production.

Use of estradiol benzoate to induce ovulation in a short-term protocol for fixed-time AI in sheep

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2015
The aim of this study was to test the hormonal protocol for fixed-time artificial insemination (TAI) with a progesterone vaginal device for six days applying equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) or estradiol benzoate (EB) as an ovulation inducer in ewes ...

reSearch : enhancing information retrieval with images [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Combining image and text search is an open research question. The main issues are what technologies to base this solution on, and what measures of relevance to employ. Our reSearch prototype mashes up papers indexed using information retrieval techniques
