Optimization of CIEL*a*b*/Yxy colour system for colorimetric devices fabricated with gold nanoparticles

Abstract In this paper we demonstrate a gold nanoparticle-based colorimetric CIELAB system for the detection of poly-(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (polyDADMAC) in wastewater. This method is based on the application of paper-based analytical devices which is printed on the normal A4 white printing paper.
