Methods for testing automation and control

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 15, Page 1340-1343, October 2018., 2018
During the commissioning of the substation automation systems (SASs) with protection, automation and control traditionally the main focus of testing is on testing the protection system and its settings. Protection testing uses established methods. When looking at the time spent during commissioning, testing the automation and communication system ...

Stone products of the Roman municipium of Neviodunum, Pannonia (modern Drnovo, Slovenia)

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 67, Issue 2, Page 284-312, April 2025.
Abstract The paper presents the lithologies used in the stone products of Neviodunum (modern Drnovo in Slovenia), a Roman municipium in south‐western Pannonia. For this purpose, 95 stone monuments were assessed. Petrographic and biostratigraphic analyses were carried out on 56 archaeological and 57 geological samples.

Testing of IEC 61850 sampled values based digital substation automation systems

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 15, Page 807-811, October 2018., 2018
With digital communication technologies continuing to grow in performance and reliability, a fully digital substation automation system (SAS) with a sampled values based process bus has become a realisable prospect in the foreseeable future. This, however, demands additional work in engineering configurations and tightens the existing constraints on ...

Inhibition of the upregulated phosphodiesterase 4D isoforms improves SERCA2a function in diabetic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 182, Issue 7, Page 1487-1507, April 2025.
Abstract Background and Purpose Sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+‐ATPase (SERCA2a) is impaired in heart failure. Phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are implicated in the modulation of local cAMP signals and protein kinase A (PKA) activity essential for cardiac function.

Cross‐pathway integration of cAMP signals through cGMP and calcium‐regulated phosphodiesterases in mouse striatal cholinergic interneurons

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 182, Issue 5, Page 1236-1253, March 2025.
Abstract Background and Purpose Acetylcholine plays a key role in striatal function. Firing properties of striatal cholinergic interneurons depend on intracellular cAMP through the regulation of Ih currents. Yet, the dynamics of cyclic nucleotide signalling in these neurons have remained elusive.

Nicotine Impairs Smooth Muscle cAMP Signaling and Vascular Reactivity

open access: yesMicrocirculation, Volume 31, Issue 6, August 2024.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to determine nicotine's impact on receptor‐mediated cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) synthesis in vascular smooth muscle (VSM). We hypothesize that nicotine impairs β adrenergic–mediated cAMP signaling in VSM, leading to altered vascular reactivity.

Investigation of prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella in pet dogs and cats in Turkey

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 10, Issue 4, July 2024.
Salmonella prevalence was 5.73% (9/157) in dogs and 0.0% (0/191) in cats. Eight (8/9) isolates were cultured with the ISO method and 5 (5/9) isolates were cultured with the FDA method. Macroscopic results revealed that Salmonella agents had no effect on LAB. Three different serotypes (S. Enteritidis, S. Kentucky and S.
