Micropropagation of camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora)

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 2003
Multiple shoots were induced from shoot tips and nodal segments of a 12-year-old tree of Cinnamomum camphora on Woody Plant Medium (WPM) supplemented with BA and kinetin. The nodal segments from the in vitro developed plantlets could be induced again to produce a large number of harvestable shoots.

Headspace Constituents of the Tree Remain ofCinnamomum camphora

Natural Product Letters, 2001
The volatile ingredients isolated from a fresh tree of Cinnamomum camphora (camphor tree) and from a tree remain of C. camphora were collected by using headspace techniques and analyzed by means of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). 99.77% of the constituents consisting 23 components from the fresh tree, 98.68% of the constituents consisting

Fungistatic properties of Essential Oil of Cinnamomum camphora

International Journal of Pharmacognosy, 1991
AbstractDuring screening of essential oils, the oil of Cinnamomum camphora was found to possess mycostatic effect against Aspergillus flavus at 4000 ppm. Moreover the oil was found to be as potent as some synthetic preservatives commonly used in storage of food stuffs - viz. ceresan, copper oxychloride, dithane M-45 and thiovit.

Monoterpene emissions contribute to thermotolerance in Cinnamomum camphora

Trees, 2017
High temperature promoted monoterpene emission from Cinnamomum camphora , and monoterpenes scavenged ROS and protected photosynthesis to improve thermotolerance in plants. High temperature impacts plant growth and development with a reduction in photosynthetic rate and an increase in reactive oxygen ...
