Inhibition of CIP2A determines erlotinib-induced apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma
Biochemical Pharmacology, 2013Erlotinib is a small-molecular inhibitor of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Here, we identify that cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) is a major determinant mediating erlotinib-induced apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Erlotinib showed differential effects on apoptosis in 4 human HCC cell lines.

CIP2A expression and prognostic role in patients with esophageal adenocarcinoma
Medical Oncology, 2013CIP2A is overexpressed in many cancers, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The regulation of c-MYC and CIP2A expression is characterized by a positive feedback mechanism facilitating the expression of both of them and accelerating cancer cell proliferation in gastric cancer.

CIP2A expression in Bortezomib-treated multiple myeloma.
Journal of B.U.ON. : official journal of the Balkan Union of Oncology, 2020This study aimed to investigate the expression and the prognostic value of CIP2A in multiple myeloma (MM).The expression levels of CIP2A was measured in 33 newly diagnosed MM patients (at presentation and after 4 cycles of Bortezomib-Dexamethazone (BD) regimen) and 15 healthy controls by real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR).CIP2A ...

Tenuigenin inhibits osteosarcoma growth via CIP2A/PP2A/NF-κB axis
Cancer Chemotherapy and PharmacologyPolygala tenuifolia and its active components have been revealed to possess anti-tumor activities. However, the role of Tenuigenin (TEN), a bioactive ingredient from Polygala tenuifolia, in tumors such as osteosarcoma (OS) remains unclear. The present research intended to explore the efficacy and underlying mechanism of TEN on OS.OS cells were ...

Overexpression of CIP2A promotes bladder cancer progression by regulating EMT
Clinical and Translational Oncology, 2015Bladder cancer is the second most common urological malignancy worldwide. CIP2A is a newly identified inhibitor of PP2A. Recent studies have highlighted a potential role for CIP2A in promoting the proliferation of several cancer cells. However, the role of CIP2A in bladder cancer still remains unclear. The expression of CIP2A was detected by ...

Abstract 1812: Development of Erlotinib derivatives as CIP2A inhibitors
Cancer Research, 2012Abstract PP2A is a protein phosphatase which involves in negatively regulating cell proliferation, survival and differentiation. Literature has shown that cancerous inhibitor of PP2A (CIP2A) is an inhibitor of PP2A in cancer cells.

[Clinical significance of CIP2A expression in bladder cancer].
Zhonghua yi xue za zhi, 2015To explore the expression of cancerous inhibitor of PP2A (CIP2A) and evaluate its role in bladder cancer.RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of CIP2A mRNA from 38 cases of patients with bladder cancer and 12 cases of normal bladder tissue. The CIP2A protein expression levels in 99 cases of patients with bladder cancer and 12 cases of normal tissue
