Fistulotomy versus fistulectomy for simple fistula‐in‐ano: a systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials

This systematic review evaluated the techniques of fistulotomy and fistulectomy for simple fistula‐in‐ano. Neither technqiue showed superiority in regards to healing time, wound infection rate, flatus incontinence, faecal incontinence, or recurrence rate.
