On the J\'onsson distributivity spectrum
Suppose throughout that $\mathcal V$ is a congruence distributive variety. If $m \geq 1$, let $ J _{ \mathcal V} (m) $ be the smallest natural number $k$ such that the congruence identity $\alpha ( \beta \circ \gamma \circ \beta \dots ) \subseteq \alpha \

Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Spin-Orbit Angles of Kepler-13Ab and HAT-P-7b from Gravity-Darkened Transit Light Curves
Analysis of the transit light curve deformed by the stellar gravity darkening allows us to photometrically measure both components of the spin-orbit angle $\psi$, its sky projection $\lambda$ and inclination of the stellar spin axis $i_\star$.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

The stellar distribution derived from an $H$ and $K_{\mathrm S}$-band survey of the central region of our Galaxy is compared with the Fe XXV K$\alpha$ (6.7 keV) line intensity observed with the Suzaku satellite. The survey is for the Galactic coordinates

This study demonstrates coherent control of 15N nuclear spins coupled to VB−${\text{V}}_{\text{B}}^{-}$ centers in isotope‐enriched hexagonal boron nitride. Selective addressing via spin‐state mixing enables Rabi driving, quantum gates, and coherence times exceeding 10 μs$\umu{\rm s}$.

Circular polarization signals of cloudy (exo)planets
The circular polarization of light that planets reflect is often neglected because it is very small compared to the linear polarization. It could, however, provide information on a planet's atmosphere and surface, and on the presence of life, because ...

In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.
