ABSTRACT Introduction Media reporting of migrant drowning deaths can serve multiple purposes, including advocacy, improving data, and supporting inclusive policy development. However, such drownings remain underexamined in both public discourse and academic research. This study investigates how migrants are portrayed in Australian newspaper coverage of

DNAzyme‐Based Nanostructures for Dynamic Cell Regulation and Sensing
This review explores DNAzyme‐based nanostructures for dynamic cell regulation and sensing. By merging catalytic DNA with nanomaterials, they enable precise metal‐ion detection, programmable cell–cell interactions, and high‐resolution bioimaging. These advances open new routes to smart theranostic platforms and clinical translation in precision medicine.

Multivariate Tests for Comparing Lifetimes of Parallel Systems
ABSTRACT Life testing of engineering systems with dependent components requires robust multivariate methods. Parametric approaches depend on restrictive assumptions, limiting their use in complex or unknown lifetime distribution settings. This study evaluates nonparametric methods for comparing parallel system lifetimes under minimal sample ...

An experimental study of circuit breakers: the effects of mandated market closures and temporary halts on market behavior [PDF]
This paper analyzes the effect of circuit breakers on price behavior, trading volume, and profit-making ability in a market setting. We conduct nine experimental asset markets to compare behavior across three regulatory regimes: market closure, temporary

Bacterial communities in sand and seawater collected every 3 months from 10 beaches along the Mississippi Gulf coast were fundamentally different from each other. Bacterial communities in both habitats showed more temporal variation over the course of 15 months than spatial variation between beaches. ABSTRACT Coastal microbial communities play critical

The Monetary Policy–Commodities Nexus: A Survey
ABSTRACT This survey synthesizes evidence on the bidirectional links between commodity markets and monetary policy. On the commodities‐to‐policy side, we review how shocks to energy, food, and metals pass through to inflation, inflation expectations, economic activity, and financial stability in state‐dependent ways that vary by shock type, exposure ...
