Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

A High Spectral Entropy (SE) Memristive Hidden Chaotic System with Multi-Type Quasi-Periodic and its Circuit

open access: yes, 2019
As a new type of nonlinear electronic component, a memristor can be used in a chaotic system to increase the complexity of the system. In this paper, a flux-controlled memristor is applied to an existing chaotic system, and a novel five-dimensional ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Implementation of multilayer perceptron network with highly uniform passive memristive crossbar circuits

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Memristive devices used in neuromorphic computing typically need to be accessed using transistors, adding circuit complexity and size. In this work, the authors demonstrate a neural network using a transistor-free passive memristor crossbar array ...

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Complexity of Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill States

open access: yesPhysical Review X
We initiate the study of state complexity for continuous-variable quantum systems. Concretely, we consider a setup with bosonic modes and auxiliary qubits, where available operations include Gaussian one- and two-mode operations and single- and two-qubit

Improving Circuit and Transformer Complexity for 24-Pulse AC-DC Converter Topology

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a novel three-phase 24-pulse diode converter topology derived from cascading two 12-pulse rectifiers. Unlike existing designs that use multi-tap Interphase Reactors (IPR) or transformers, our configuration eliminates the need for ...

A Low-Complexity and High-Throughput RTL Design of a BCH (15,7) Decoder [PDF]

open access: yesITB Journal of Information and Communication Technology, 2012
The Bose, Chaudhuri and Hocquenghem (BCH) codes form a large class of powerful random-error correcting cyclic codes. However, the implementation of its decoder requires high-complexity computation resources with a huge number of sequential circuits. This
