Current issues and emerging techniques for VLSI testing - A review☆

open access: yesMeasurement: Sensors, 2022
Circuit designers are always faced with new obstacles as a result of the persistent trend in today's nanoscale technology to follow Moore's law. The complexities inherent in the production process have increased dramatically due to the rapid downscaling ...

Polymorphisms and Circuit Complexity

open access: yesCoRR, 2016
We present a framework for studying circuit complexity that is inspired by techniques that are used for analyzing the complexity of CSPs. We prove that the circuit complexity of a Boolean function $f$ is characterized by the partial polymorphisms of $f$'s truth table.

Causality Constraint on Circuit Complexity from $COSMOEFT$

open access: yes, 2023
In this article, we investigate the physical implications of the causality constraint via effective sound speed $c_s(\leq 1)$ on Quantum Circuit Complexity(QCC) in the framework of Cosmological Effective Field Theory (COSMOEFT) using the two-mode ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Novel Low-Complexity and Low-Power Flip-Flop Design

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, a compact and low-power true single-phase flip-flop (FF) design with fully static operations is presented. The design is developed by using various circuit-reduction schemes and features a hybrid logic style employing both pass transistor ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

A framework for reversible circuit complexity

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
Reversible single-target gates are a generalization of Toffoli gates which are a helpful formal representation for the description of synthesis algorithms but are too general for an actual implementation based on some technology. There is an exponential lower bound on the number of Toffoli gates required to implement any reversible function, however ...

Circuit Complexity in Topological Quantum Field Theory

open access: yes, 2022
Quantum circuit complexity has played a central role in recent advances in holography and many-body physics. Within quantum field theory, it has typically been studied in a Lorentzian (real-time) framework. In a departure from standard treatments, we aim

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...
