Certifying circuits in Type Theory
Formal Aspects of Computing, 2004Abstract We investigate how to take advantage of the particular features of the calculus of inductive constructions in the framework of hardware verification. First, we emphasize in a short case study the use of dependent types and of the constructive aspect of the logic for specifying and synthesizing combinatorial circuits.

Toward a Circuit Theory of Communication
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2009Electromagnetic field theory provides the physics of radio communications, while information theory approaches the problem from a purely mathematical point of view. While there is a law of conservation of energy in physics, there is no such law in information theory.

Theory of three circuit transformers
Journal of the A.I.E.E., 1924The characteristics of three-circuit transformers, the literature of which is very meager, are discussed here in considerable detail. The features of the scheme of treatment are as follows: 1. The scope and general aspects of the problems of three-circuit transformers are reviewed. 2.

Circuit Theory of Andreev Conductance
Physical Review Letters, 1994Conductance of small normal metal structures adjacent to a superconductor is determined by coherent Andreev reflection. We show that under certain limitations the conductance can be found by means of an extended circuit theory. The theory deals with two types of elements: tunnel junctions and diffusive conductors and provides the basis for practical ...

On Applications of Fractional Derivatives in Circuit Theory
2020 27th International Conference on Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and System (MIXDES), 2020In this paper, concepts of fractional-order (FO) derivatives are discussed from the point of view of applications in the circuit theory. The properties of FO derivatives required for the circuit-level modelling are formulated. Potential problems related to the generalization of transmission line equations with the use of FO derivatives are presented ...

A useful identity in circuit theory
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1993A useful identity for circuit theory is obtained. The authors considered the linear system \(AX= B\), where \(A\) is a square matrix and \(X\) and \(B\) are column matrices. If \(B\) remains the same but an element of \(A\), say \(a_{ij}\), is modified, then it is asked to find the derivative of the perturbed solution \(X'\) with respect to the ...
