Dynamics of orbital skyrmions in a circular nanodisk

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2023
A skyrmion nano-oscillator based on a nanodisk with orbital partitioning using the VCMA effect has been proposed, and the current-driven dynamics of skyrmions are studied.

On circular orbits of planets

Geometry & Graphics, 2013
During all-Russian academic competition on descriptive geometry, engineering and computer graphics in 2011 a task was proposed. This task’s condition was as follows: two planets rotate around a star in circular orbits of different diameter, which lie in the different planes passing through the star center and located at a 30 degree angle to each other;

Circularization of Binary Orbits

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1998
In a previous paper Mayer and Hanna (1991) discussed the process of binary orbit circularization for detached eclipsing binaries. An agreement of observational data with Tassoul's circularization time formula for binaries with masses greater than 2.5 M⊙ was found.

On the true circular orbit of a satellite

Celestial Mechanics, 1980
The osculating orbit of a planetary satellite moving in the equatorial plane of the central body under the influence of a rotational symmetric perturbation force is elliptical in first order approximation even if the true orbit is always circular. The satellite motion is influenced by a resonance effect due to this perturbing force.

The oscillations of a pendulum in a circular orbit

Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2001
Abstract The model problem of the motion in a central force field of a pendulum whose suspension point slides along a circular directrix with centre at an attracting centre is considered. The steady motions and conditions for their stability are determined. The results are used to investigate the motions of an orbital crane.
