Circular orbits in extremal Reissner–Nordstrom spacetime [PDF]
Circular null geodesic orbits, in extremal Reissner-Nordstrom spacetimes, are examined with regard to their stability, and compared with similar orbits in the near-extremal situation. Extremization of the effective potential for null circular orbits shows the existence of a stable circular geodesic in the extremal spacetime, precisely {\it on} the ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Equatorial circular orbits in Kerr–Newman–de Sitter spacetimes
Circular motion of test particles in the equatorial plane of the Kerr–Newman–de Sitter (KNdS) spacetime is analyzed for both black-hole and naked-singularity backgrounds.

Spin-orbit resonances and rotation of coorbital bodies in quasi-circular orbits
The rotation of asymmetric bodies in eccentric Keplerian orbits can be chaotic when there is some overlap of spin-orbit resonances. Here we show that the rotation of two coorbital bodies (two planets orbiting a star or two satellites of a planet) can ...

An algebraic approach to the minimum-cost multi-impulse orbit transfer problem [PDF]
We present a purely algebraic formulation (i.e. polynomial equations only) of the minimum-cost multi-impulse orbit transfer problem without time constraints, while keeping all the variables with a precise physical meaning.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Optimal Guidance for Heliocentric Orbit Cranking with E-Sail-Propelled Spacecraft
In astrodynamics, orbit cranking is usually referred to as an interplanetary transfer strategy that exploits multiple gravity-assist maneuvers to change both the inclination and eccentricity of the spacecraft osculating orbit without changing the ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The study of circular orbits offers profound insights into the structure of spacetime around black holes. While the topological properties of these orbits are well-established for neutral particles, the influence of electric charge–particularly for ...

We investigate the comprehensive geodesic structure of a spherically symmetric, static charged regular Ayón-Beato and García black hole (BH). We derive the equation of innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO), marginally bound circular orbit (MBCO) and ...
