The Relation Between k-Circularity and Circularity of Codes [PDF]
A code X is k-circular if any concatenation of at most k words from X, when read on a circle, admits exactly one partition into words from X. It is circular if it is k-circular for every integer k. While it is not a priori clear from the definition, there exists, for every pair [Formula: see text], an integer k such that every k-circular [Formula: see ...

AbstractWe study circular choosability, a notion recently introduced by Mohar and Zhu. First, we provide a negative answer to a question of Zhu about circular cliques. We next prove that cch(G)=O(ch(G)+ln|V(G)|) for every graph G. We investigate a generalization of circular choosability, the circular f‐choosability, where f is a function of the degrees.

Definitions of the circular economy: Circularity matters
With more than 4,000 research articles in 2022 the Circular Economy is clearly a topic that meets academic interest. With resource use at an all-time, unsustainable peak it is also a topic that raises great expectations: We need the circular economy. The great hopes that we all have are further fueled by the definitions of the circular economy that we ...

Fuzzified Circular Gabor Filter for Circular and Near-Circular Object Detection [PDF]
This paper presents a new algorithm for filtering and detecting circular and deformed circular objects. The resulting procedure is based on fuzzifying the parameters of a circular Gabor filter to optimize the response of the circular Gabor filter and achieve additional selectivity of the filter.

On the circular chromatic number of circular partitionable graphs [PDF]
AbstractThis article studies the circular chromatic number of a class of circular partitionable graphs. We prove that an infinite family of circular partitionable graphs G has $\chi_ c (G) = \chi(G)$. A consequence of this result is that we obtain an infinite family of graphs G with the rare property that the deletion of each vertex decreases its ...

The integrity of machined holes depends on many parameters, some of which are related to the cutting tool (geometry, coating, material). Other influential parameters are related to the machining process variables (spindle speed, feed rate, workpiece ...

End-of-Life Photovoltaic Modules
More than 78 million tons of photovoltaic modules (PVMs) will reach their end of life (EOL) by 2050. If they are not responsibly managed, they can (a) pollute our terrestrial ecosystem, (b) indirectly encourage continuous mining and extraction of Earth’s

The problem of a perfectly inelastic billiard on a circular table with exactly one permitted bounce is analyzed. Both geometric and analytic aspects of the solution are outlined. Degenerate points on the billiard table are identified and discussed. The results are applied to an optical experiment which can be performed in any classroom.

Circular chemistry to enable a circular economy
By expanding the scope of sustainability to the entire lifecycle of chemical products, the concept of circular chemistry aims to replace today’s linear ‘take–make–dispose’ approach with circular processes. This will optimize resource efficiency across chemical value chains and enable a closed-loop, waste-free chemical industry.
