A circular spline is a \(C^ 1\) curve consisting of circular arcs which join at the knots \(P_ 1,\dots,P_ n\). The author considers the problem of interpolating a given point set (open or closed) in \(\mathbb{R}^ 2\) and \(\mathbb{R}^ 3\) by circular splines with knots at the interpolation points.

During 1994 and 1995, the structures of the serum amyloid P component, the bacterial chaperonin GroEL, the 20S proteasome, the bacterial light-harvesting complexes and the tryptophan operon RNA-binding attenuation protein have been determined. These structures all form circular assemblies in which the individual subunits are related by rotational ...

This 13-year-old girl presented with several days’ history of anorexia, cough and pleuritic chest pain. She had no significant medical history. On examination, she was dehydrated, tachycardic and had a temperature of 39.5°C, but there were no chest signs on examination.

Research about the circular economy is dominated by engineers, architects, and social scientists in fields other than economics. The concepts they study can be useful in economic models of policies – to reduce virgin materials extraction, to encourage green design, and to make better use of products in ways that reduce waste.

The author discusses two interesting relationships between circles and lines. There should be a computer graphics application that can use the first topic to run faster or better. The second topic is Ptolemy's Theorem, which is a generalization of the triangle inequality. The author shows how it can be used to derive the angle addition formulas.

The common claim that the notion of collective action must figure in the content of the attitudes of the parties to a collective action gives rise to a circularity challenge. Standard responses to this challenge are criticized. This article’s solution exploits a notion of collectivity that does not presuppose intention: a purely causal conception that ...

The plan of this paper is to explore the question: Does a model that includes the principles of double description, circularity, and coevolutionary change, all accounting for shifts in family coalitions over time and the emergence of problems in connection with these shifts, allow the family therapist to design better methods for the understanding and ...
