Comparison of the Impact of Atracurium and Cisatracurium on the Neutrophil-To-Lymphocyte Ratio in Addition to Hemodynamic Changes during Anesthesia Induction

open access: yesArchives of Anesthesia and Critical Care
Background: Muscle relaxants are used for two general purposes. One is to ease endotracheal intubation, and the other is provide surgical relaxation. This study has been designed with the aim of assessing the impact of atracurium and cisatracurium on ...

Anaphylactic Shock Induced by Higher Doses But Not Lower Doses of Cisatracurium

open access: yesJournal of Medical Sciences
A 49-year-old female experienced recurrent anaphylactic shock triggered by higher doses of cisatracurium during multiple surgeries. Anaphylaxis occurred with doses higher than 6 mg. Lower doses or complete avoidance prevented shock recurrence.

Optimal dose of combined rocuronium and cisatracurium during minor surgery

open access: yes, 2018
BACKGROUND: Combined rocuronium and cisatracurium have synergistic effects. We investigated whether reduced doses are effective during coadministration, by monitoring neuromuscular relaxation during surgery.

Effects of Ephedrine on the Onset Time of Neuromuscular Block and Intubating Conditions after Cisatracurium: Preliminary Results

open access: yes, 2000
peer reviewedWe studied the effects of intravenous ephedrine on the onset time and the intubating conditions 2 min after a bolus dose of cisatracurium (0.15 mg kg-1).

Acute motor axonal polyneuropathy after a cisatracurium infusion and concomitant corticosteroid therapy

open access: yes, 2004
A 40-yr-old male was admitted to the intensive care unit following blunt chest trauma. He had multiple rib fractures, bilateral pneumothoraces, and acute respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation.

Effect of an intravenous infusion of lidocaine on cisatracurium-induced neuromuscular block duration: a randomized-controlled trial.

open access: yes, 2010
peer reviewedBACKGROUND: Intravenous lidocaine can be used intraoperatively for its analgesic and antihyperalgesic properties but local anaesthetics may also prolong the duration of action of neuromuscular blocking agents.

Does pancuronium or cisatracurium delay the rate of arousal following remifentanil-based anesthesia?

open access: yes, 2005
Study Objective: The present report investigates the rate of arousal following remifentanil-based anesthesia associated with the coadministration of pancuronium, which inhibits butyrylcholinesterase, or cisatracurium, which is partially metabolized by ...

Anesthetic Management of a Pediatric Patient with Rubinstein–Taybi Syndrome Undergoing Entropion Correction Surgery: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Sciences
Rubinstein–Taybi syndrome (RTS) is a rare genetic disorder that presents unique anesthetic challenges, including a high likelihood of difficult airway management and an increased risk of arrhythmias associated with certain medications.
