Apscaviroids Infecting Citrus Trees
2017Of the seven known citrus viroids, four are apscaviroids: citrus bent leaf viroid (CBLVd), citrus dwarfing viroid (CDVd), citrus viroid V (CVd-V), and citrus viroid VI (CVd-VI). Two (CDVd and CVd-V) are restricted to citrus, while CBLVd naturally infects hop and is also experimentally transmitted to avocado, and CVd-VI is present in natural infections ...

Nitrogen assimilation in citrus trees
Physiologia Plantarum, 1980AbstractAssimilation of 15N‐ammonium and 15N‐nitrate was examined in 3‐year‐old satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marcovitch) trees. Experiments were designed to establish the time course of incorporation of nitrogen just taken up into amino compounds. In fine roots, absorbed 15N‐ammonium was actively incorporated into glutamine and then into glutamic ...

Nitrate reduction in citrus tree leaves
Plant and Soil, 1965A nitrate-reducing enzyme system is active in citrus tree leaf fragments. The system is inactivated in disrupted and damaged cells of leaf macerate. The measurement of nitrite as an indication of nitrate reductase activity is some times misleading because of its rapid disappearance due to high nitrite reductase activity.
