Aspiration Dynamics of Multi-player Games in Finite Populations

open access: yes, 2014
Studying strategy update rules in the framework of evolutionary game theory, one can differentiate between imitation processes and aspiration-driven dynamics. In the former case, individuals imitate the strategy of a more successful peer.

Effect of Fruit Maturation Stage on the Chemical Composition and Antioxidant and Cytotoxic Activities of Piper nigrum Essential Oil

open access: yesFlavour and Fragrance Journal, EarlyView.
The essential oils of Piper nigrum show marked chemical and biological variation across fruit maturation stages. Ripe fruits yield oils with the strongest antioxidant and cytotoxic activities, demonstrating that maturation directly modulates volatile composition and enhances the bioactive potential of this aromatic species.

Counting planar random walk holes

open access: yes, 2007
We study two variants of the notion of holes formed by planar simple random walk of time duration $2n$ and the areas associated with them. We prove in both cases that the number of holes of area greater than $A(n)$, where $\{A(n)\}$ is an increasing ...

Toward All 2D‐Based Printed Raindrop Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A raindrop triboelectric nanogenerator (RD‐TENG) based on solution‐deposited 2D materials is described, where successive drop impacts generate short‐circuit signals. Graphene–SWCNT hybrid films serve as conductive contacts and transition metal dichalcogenides as active layer.

Public Key Protocols over Twisted Dihedral Group Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Key management is a central problem in information security. The development of quantum computation could make the protocols we currently use unsecure. Because of that, new structures and hard problems are being proposed. In this work, we give a proposal

Decreased Production of Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Endothelial Cells From Nasal Polyps

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Previous studies have demonstrated that chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is characterized by excessive fibrin deposition which is related to impaired production of tissue plasminogen activator(t‐PA) by epithelial cells.
