A cardiopulmonary exercise testing‐derived summed score effectively predicted mortality or lung transplantation risk in newly diagnosed interstitial lung disease. Higher summed scores (2–5) were associated with markedly lower event‐free survival rates.

Relations between quark and lepton mixing angles and matrices
We discuss the relations between the mixing angles and the mixing matrices of quarks and leptons. With Raidal's numerical relations, we parametrize the lepton mixing (PMNS) matrix with the parameters of the quark mixing (CKM) matrix, and calculate the ...

In a nationwide cohort of 10,614 patients with metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) hospitalized for cardiovascular disease (CVD), diabetes was present in 4550 patients (43%) and was independently associated with higher in‐hospital mortality and cardiovascular complications.

CKM matrix elements from tree-level decays and b-hadron lifetimes
We give an updated summary of the topics covered in Working Group I of the 2nd Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle, with emphasis on the results obtained since the 1st CKM Workshop.

Anomalies in global SMEFT analyses. A case study of first-row CKM unitarity
Recent developments in the Standard Model analysis of semileptonic charged-current processes involving light quarks have revealed ~ 3σ tensions in Cabibbo universality tests involving meson, neutron, and nuclear beta decays.

$B^0 - \bar{B}^0$ oscillations and measurements of $|V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}|$ at LEP
In this paper a review of the LEP analyses on $B^0 - \bar{B}^0$ oscillations and on the measurement of $|V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}|$ is presented . These measurements are of fundamental importance in constraining the $\rho$ and $\eta$ parameters of the CKM matrix.

ABSTRACT Background/Aim Most patients with proteinuria are considered to have typical diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, when proteinuria occurs without diabetic retinopathy, with hematuria, or persists despite strict glycemic and blood pressure control, it is considered atypical for DN and warrants further evaluation for non‐DN via kidney biopsy ...

Nambu Quantum Mechanics, proposed in Phys. Lett. B536, 305 (2002), is a deformation of canonical Quantum Mechanics in which the manifold over which the “phase” of an energy eigenstate time evolves is modified.

CKM Reach at Hadronic Colliders
The analysis of the CKM parameters will take a leap forward when the hadronic B factories receive their first data. I describe the challenges faced by B-physics at hadronic colliders and the expected reach in specific channels for the LHCb, BTeV, ATLAS ...

Large $\theta_{13}^\nu$ and Unified Description of Quark and Lepton Mixing Matrices
We present a revised version of the so-called "yukawaon model", which was proposed for the purpose of a unified description of the lepton mixing matrix $U_{PMNS}$ and the quark mixing matrix $V_{CKM}$.
