Evo-SETI: A Mathematical Tool for Cladistics, Evolution, and SETI
The discovery of new exoplanets makes us wonder where each new exoplanet stands along its way to develop life as we know it on Earth. Our Evo-SETI Theory is a mathematical way to face this problem.

A Briefly Argued Case That Asgard Archaea Are Part of the Eukaryote Tree
The recent discovery of the Lokiarchaeota and other members of the Asgard superphylum suggests that closer analysis of the cell biology and evolution of these groups may help shed light on the origin of the eukaryote cell. Asgard lineages often appear in

Towards a methodology for identifying path dependence in the evolution of human resources practices
The path dependence approach seems to be well suited for analyzing certain decisions in human resources management. Within this paper, we will try to establish a framework for the application of an evolution model in human resources practices by using ...

Essays on the Binary Representations of the DNA Data
The advancement of modern genomics has led to the large-scale industrial production of molecular data and scientific outcomes. Simultaneously, conventional DNA character alignments (sequence alignments) are utilized for DNA-based phylogenetic analyses ...

Phylogenetic Analyses of Quasars and Galaxies
Phylogenetic approaches have proven to be useful in astrophysics. We have recently published a Maximum Parsimony (or cladistics) analysis on two samples of 215 and 85 low-z quasars (z < 0.7) which offer a satisfactory coverage of the Eigenvector 1 ...

Paleobotany in cladistics and cladistics in paleobotany: enlightenment and uncertainty
Abstract Data on fossil taxa can, and should, be incorporated into cladistic analyses. Potential problems with such analyses include large amounts of missing data, and uncertainty about homology of parts that are present. Ambiguity of character data may also occur with extant taxa, but rarely to the extent that it occurs in fossil data.
