Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

A Class-E Amplifier for a Loosely Coupled Inductive Power Transfer System with Multiple Receivers
We present a method for optimizing the electronic power system for a new type of photobioreactor or photoreactor in general. In the case of photobioreactors, photosynthetic active microorganisms or cells are grown. A novel concept for the illumination of

Suppression of stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers using a linearly chirped diode laser [PDF]
The output of high power fiber amplifiers is typically limited by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). An analysis of SBS with a chirped pump laser indicates that a chirp of 2.5 × 10^(15) Hz/s could raise, by an order of magnitude, the SBS threshold ...

Class-E Amplifier Design Improvements for GSM Frequencies
Efficient power amplifiers are essential in portable battery-operated systems such as mobile phones. Also, the power amplifier (PA) is the most power-consuming building block in the transmitter of a portable system.

Noise characterization of an atomic magnetometer at sub-millihertz frequencies [PDF]
Noise measurements have been carried out in the LISA bandwidth (0.1 mHz to 100 mHz) to characterize an all-optical atomic magnetometer based on nonlinear magneto-optical rotation.

Theory Based on Device Current Clipping to Explain and Predict Performance Including Distortion of Power Amplifiers for Wireless Communication Systems [PDF]
Power amplifiers are critical components in wireless communication systems that need to have high efficiency, in order to conserve battery life and minimise heat generation, and at the same time low distortion, in order to prevent increase of bit ...
